Sam Lauren Smith

Sam Lauren Smith was born in Leicester and was encouraged to be creative from the very start. After attending the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and studying Contemporary Art Practice, she specialised in painting and left with a B.A. Honours Degree. Since then Sam has exhibited her paintings at all over the country and is achieving increasing acclaim for her Earth inspired work.

Recent exhibitions have taken place in Leicester's De Montfont Hall, Haymarket Theatre and City Gallery and also at 'Conkers' visitors centre in the heart of the National Forest in Derbyshire. In the south of England her work has been shown at the 2002 Salisbury Festival, Taunton Hospital, Bridgwater Art Centre and at various exhibitions in Glastonbury, Shaftesbury and Frome.

Sam's art work has featured in the 'Earth Pathways Diary', now in its second year, the 'Sacred Hoop' magazine and regularly appears in the events programme for 'Alternatives'' of Piccadilly, London. It can also be found on the 'acrobiotic Association of Great Britain' website and the cards are sold by a tree planting charity 'Tree Spirit'. The paintings have sold worldwide and Sam has been commissioned by various clients and collectors.
